Adapted from The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum.  Book by William F. Brown, music and lyrics by Charlie Smalls. The Wiz tells the story of Dorothy and the adventures of Oz through a modern lens. It is mysterious, opulent, and fanciful set to music in a dazzling, lively mixture of rock, hip hop, soul, and contemporary music. A ferocious and provocative adaptation of one of the most prescient works of literature of the last century.
