St Lou Fringe Artist Salon: An Invitation to Develop the Cultural Identity of St. Louis

Artist Salon DanceArt will actively imitate life at St Lou Fringe’s Artist Salon, happening June 19th, 7 – 9 pm in Downtown St. Louis. St Lou Fringe and Downtown STL, Inc. have partnered to design an artistic experience that gives patrons an opportunity to participate in the creation of a cultural voice for the St. Louis Metro Area.

For $20, guests will be lead on an urban adventure. The location of their journey is not disclosed until tickets are purchased, but the venue is in Downtown St. Louis at 812 Olive St. and was carefully selected to act as an accurate backdrop to the current social, political, and economic landscape of St. Louis’ urban center.

At The Salon, patrons will become a part of an immersive multi-disciplinary independent arts experience. Creative minds from St. Louis and around the country are intentionally paired together to develop new work in real time as onlookers meander in and out of the urban pop-up venue. The artists, working in conflicting media, have been intentionally paired, and many will be meeting for the first time; a perfect storm of inspiration and collaboration.

“This event is an amazing opportunity to showcase the innovative creativity of Downtown St. Louis,” says Missy Kelley, President & CEO of Downtown STL, Inc. “It’s an exact reflection of what happens when people come together, work together and dream together and I am truly inspired!”

Beer will be available to satiate the non-artistic needs of event attendees compliments of Salon sponsor, Schlafly.

Artist Salon marks a new partnership between St Lou Fringe and Downtown STL, Inc. One that is focused on leveraging the arts to build a cultural identity and voice that reflects the revitalization of our urban core.
